Spontaneous, free-spirited swanky young Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) from Australia and Registered Dietitian (RD) in New Zealand. I'm a foodie, romantic and a dreamer with a rich, poetic imagination. I have been working as a dietitian for 10 years and completed my PhD in public health nutrition from the University of Sydney, Australia in food environment interventions and dietary behaviour change.
Specialising in clinical, research and public health nutrition and dietetics, I'm currently working as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland, New Zealand teaching in the Masters of Health Sciences in Nutrition and Dietetics programme and conducting research in the area of nutrition and dietetics. In my current research, I'm particularly interested in digital and social media opportunities for dietary behaviour change.
Fluent in English, Hindi and Bengali, I am one of New Zealand's health and wellbeing experts for South Asians. A regular on our TV screens, radio airwaves, and across a range of online, print, and peer-reviewed journal publications, I'm passionate about food and nutrition and its relation to holistic health.
